Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋節) is one of my favorite Chinese festivals. I love the idea of bringing family and love ones together for a special occasion..... It does make you appreciate who you have around you... My other favorite thing about this festival is that we get to play with lanterns... not the cheapy battery operated kind but the ones i have got here (apology for the crappy quality of the images, i had to take it with my cellphone).... The traditional handmade lanterns lit with candles! Ohh and of coz there is also very unhealthy mooncake... which we all hate after the 3rd slice! There's just something about Chinese festivals... I guess deep down i m a very traditional Chinese girl....
